New Year 2024: 365 days Photography Challenge. / by Leticia Gaidon Bradford

What is a 365 photography challenge?

A 365 photography challenge is a project that involves taking at least one photo every day for an entire year. This is a commitment that photographers make to boost their photography skills, as it encourages dedication, practice, and perseverance. It also pushes their creativity, forcing them to pay attention to scenes and objects they might otherwise overlook.

I always aim to produce better photos by learning new techniques, styles, and participating in photo competitions where my skills are analysed and judged by top international professionals in my field. However, these competitions establish very strict rules where creativity can be restricted. Embracing this challenge for a year is going to take me out of my comfort zone, making images every day when my time is extremely limited and forcing me to take unusual shots.

Rules for the 365 days Photography Challenge:

  • Take one photo per day with my professional camera. Mobile phone pictures are not allowed.

  • Always post edited photos taken with my professional camera. The editing could include composing and AI techniques to push new technologies in my skills.

  • Publish the photos daily on my Facebook page and weekly on my webpage as a blog post.
