First week in the 365 days of Photography Challenge / by Leticia Gaidon Bradford

First Challenge In My Photography Was The Weather

Unfavourable weather conditions dominated the photography challenge at the beginning of the week, so I had to improvise by photographing something in the studio. I chose plants that provide an architectural feel as the immediate option due to lack of time.

As an enthusiastic gardener, taking a portrait of a plant was an obvious choice. I appreciate the shapes and textures that nature provides. In the first image, I used AI (Artificial Intelligence) to eliminate the pot, which was visible in the original photo, and have a clean look of this succulent, Crassula Ovata.

Another Challenge Was The Lack Of Time

On the bright side, the year started with bookings and enquiries, which forced me to be effective with my images in the last hours of the day. I even took a self-portrait with a rough artistic style as last option.

Day 4

Once the weather improved, I managed to take some pictures outdoors. Although it was bitterly cold, the sunsets and clouds were gorgeous.

Day 5

During this week, I also took many images of the different car seats that my daughter used in the past that I am planning to sell. Although they were photos taken in a product style of photography, I didn’t post those images in the challenge because they are not visually appealing. You’re welcome! 😜😂

Day 6

You can follow the daily post of the images in my Facebook page or in Threads.

Every Sunday, I will post the short story of this photography challenge in my blog.

Thank you for reading.

Bye for now.
