Hi! I am Leticia. I am an Associate Portrait Photographer accredited by The Portrait Masters.

I am based in Westhill, Aberdeenshire, Scotland, where I have my home studio. I offer a range of professional photography services in Aberdeen and the surrounding areas, including:

How I became a portrait photographer?

My journey as a portrait photographer began when a dear Peruvian friend showed me some incredible photos of her grandmother. Her grandma had travelled to London when she was younger and worked as a nanny for a short period of time. While she was in London a professional photographer took gorgeous images of her, which are treasured by her family. She looks so stylish in these prints, like a Hollywood star.

I vividly remember her words while she was approaching me with the photos. She said deeply and slowly: “Look at my grandma. THIS is MY grandma”. My friend is so incredibly proud of these images, and I was deeply impressed.

Later, I was thinking about this. I understood the reason of the impact of these photos. She knows her grandmother as a person who raised her, but also this other woman was revealed in those photos. A woman who is adventurous, independent and powerful.

That’s when I decided to become a portrait photographer who can create such amazing images for people like you.

Why choose me as your photographer?

As a photographer, I have a strong signature style in colour and black and white. My photos are warm and colourful with a touch of moody style, very much influenced by my Latin roots. My black and white photos are even darker and moodier, as a joke I always say that you can see more of “Latin drama” in those images.

In my portraits, people look confident, powerful, and even sexy. I direct their poses to make sure their bodies are graceful and flattering. I also coordinate their outfits with the poses to create a harmonious ensemble. I work with my clients to design the photo session according to their vision and preferences. We use items that they already own or in combination with pieces that I have in my studio. When it is necessary, I even go with them for shopping.

I am also rich in experiences as a photographer. I have photographed families from many countries, cultures, and beliefs. I have had the fortune to work for companies like Nestle and Olam, as well as portray tribes, expats, and diplomatic families. I have travelled and taken photos in Latin America, Europe, and Africa.

Lately, I was given the accreditation as an Associate Portrait Photographer by The Portrait Masters. This is a prestigious recognition that only a few photographers in the world have achieved. I am the first portrait photographer in Scotland to receive this honour!
