One of the biggest fears around getting professional headshots is investing money and ending up with an image you don’t like. So many people avoid taking action and keep using an unprofessional photo for their business or professional profile instead. But how many opportunities, connections, and even income are lost because of that inaction? Years ago, I was on the other side of the hiring process while working as a secretary in an accounting firm. I saw CVs being judged in seconds, and the first thing people noticed was the profile image attached to them. It was eye-opening to see how harsh first impressions can be. Like it or not, people judge professionalism, confidence, and trustworthiness visually first. The good news is that your image is something you can improve and take control of. A strong portrait gives yourself the opportunity to be seen the way you truly are.
