This morning started very early for me, the alarm went off at 5am so I could get ready for a BNI networking event. By 6:30 I was already there, but I stayed a few extra minutes in the car to rehearse my presentation about BNI’s core values. The meeting was full of good energy, connections and learning. At one point, a member was blindfolded and asked to pin the tail on a donkey. But the exercise had a powerful meaning: it showed how, without being specific in business, we can end up lost and just hoping for the best. After that I had a 121 with a BNI member. Later in the day, I joined a webinar about business strategy, which gave me fresh insights to apply to my own work. And to close the day, I had a productive meeting with an amazing representative of Enterprise. It’s days like this that remind me how much growth comes from stepping out of bed with purpose, staying open to learning, and showing up for opportunities. This evening was truly inspiring ✨ I had the chance to attend “We are all about ideas. Even daft ones” with the incredible David Eustace. From starting out as a prison guard at Barlinnie to becoming a world-renowned photographer and director, his story is about taking chances. I’m grateful to Hampton for making this event possible.
