⭐️From where does your inspiration come?⭐️ Running my own business while also looking after my family means I don’t have the luxury of sitting serenely, waiting for inspiration to arrive. There’s no long walk staring at the horizon. No endless time to experiment. I have to be intentional. Efficient with my time, and just as important, effective in how I find ideas. If you are creating content for your business, this might help. These are three of my main sources of inspiration: 1. I use my time wisely While doing everyday tasks like cooking, editing, or even working out, I listen to podcasts. If I’m at home, I keep a notebook nearby to capture ideas quickly. Often, I listen to the same podcast more than once. It’s like re-reading a book… each time, something new stands out, and new ideas begin to form. 2. I invest in what inspires me I intentionally buy materials related to my interests. Photography books and magazines are at the top of my list, especially from portrait photographers I admire. They always spark something new. I also use Pinterest as a visual library. I have created many boards over time, and they are a constant source of inspiration. 3. Conversations through networking Talking to other business owners and professionals is one of the most effective ways I generate ideas because it comes honest real people. Their questions, challenges, and experiences often reflect what many others are thinking too. That becomes valuable content for my blog and social media. Networking events also bring speakers who share ideas that I can adapt and apply to my own business. Inspiration doesn’t always come from having more time. You have to adapt to your circumstances, and sometimes it comes from being more intentional with the time you already have. #businessownerlife #entreprenuermindset #solopreneur #brandphotographer
Do you know who likes to be the face of their business? Almost no one. A few weeks ago, I met the first person who said she actually enjoys being photographed.

So, you’re not the first, and definitely not the last, to feel this way.

However,
Do you know who likes to be the face of their business? Almost no one. A few weeks ago, I met the first person who said she actually enjoys being photographed. So, you’re not the first, and definitely not the last, to feel this way. However, when you start doing something unfamiliar, believe me, you begin to accept it… and sometimes even enjoy it. Take Instagram as an example. At the beginning, it was all about images, and I loved it. Then it shifted towards content creation, and I felt very frustrated. That wasn’t my idea of connecting with people. If I wanted to write or speak, I would have become a writer or a speaker. I’m a photographer because I express myself through images. But little by little, I became more comfortable with it, and now I can even enjoy it. How did I change my mindset? I like helping people. So I decided to create content where I not only show the beauty of the world but also support fellow solopreneurs. That keeps me inspired and more willing to show my face. If you’re a professional or a business owner and still resist being the face of your work or your brand, try to think about what could motivate you to do it. Have a nice week. #businessgrowth #localbusiness #womeninspiringwomen #entreprenuermindset

I always have a big smile when I meet Andrew Charlton and Steven Innes. Their Hashtag Networking Events are frankly something special. Yesterday’s session on marketing was invaluable. I also made new connections with wonderful people, and I’m looking forward to meeting them for coffee, not only to learn more about their businesses, but also to get to know them as individuals. I’d like to take this opportunity to highlight how welcomed and well looked after we felt at The Aberdeen Dyce Hotel, managed by Gavin Ord. As a photographer, I naturally observe people, and it was clear that he offers the same level of care and enthusiasm to everyone, whether they are ordering lunch or simply having a coffee. That says a lot about the person behind the business. If you are planning an event or looking for a place to stay, you can be confident that you will be treated with genuine care and respect. I left the event with very positive energy, and that’s exactly the environment Andrew and Steven consistently create. It’s also why I make a point of not missing their events. Thank you both for the great work. Today also marks the spring equinox, so days are getting longer and everything begins to move again. A perfect moment for new connections and fresh ideas. Have a beautiful weekend. #businessaberdeen #entrepreneurlyfestyle #womeninbusiness #brandphotographer
When you think about your brand photography, consider the message and the style of your images. The options are endless, and they can often be a combination of more than one, like in this case, which was a colourful, botanical style.
